What We’re All About
Crescent Moon Sourdough was founded in 2023 by Eden Cossette, just weeks before graduating from Washington State University with a degree in Organic and Sustainable Agriculture. Raised in a health-focused household and having faced her own health challenges, Eden developed a deep appreciation for the powerful role food plays in how we feel.
Like many people with dietary sensitivities, she struggled to find bread that was both nourishing and genuinely delicious. Determined to change that, she began developing gluten-free sourdough recipes using simple, wholesome ingredients and traditional fermentation techniques.
What started as a small farmers-market microbakery quickly grew through word of mouth as customers discovered something rare: gluten-free bread with the flavor, texture, and character of true artisan bread.
Today, Crescent Moon Sourdough is dedicated to making better-tasting gluten-free sourdough accessible to more people. Each loaf is crafted with care using organic ingredients
and fermentation to create bread that is both deeply flavorful and nourishing.
At its heart, Crescent Moon Sourdough exists for anyone who thought they had to give up great bread.
